PT Bekasi Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Jababeka and is located in Kota Jababeka – Jababeka Industrial Estate Phase III. PT Bekasi Power will be operating and managing a natural gas-fired 130MW combined cycle Power Plant. The electricity that is produced will be sold to tenants in Jababeka’s industrial estates and its surroundings.
With international standard equipment and redundant gas supply, Bekasi Power would ensure reliable electricity supply at a competitive price. Main equipments consist of two units GE gas turbines frame 6B, two heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) from Thermax Babcock Wilcock and one steam turbine from Shin Nippon. Gas supply will be provided by PGN and Pertamina.
Construction of the project was started in October 2007. The first phase of the project is projected to be finalized and commence in June 2009, whereas the whole project is scheduled to be completed in December 2009.
